V1.0
3.1 A reading of more than 0.5Ω when the test leads are shorted
indicate the possible damage. Inspect and/or replace the test leads.
4.
Connect test leads with the resistor in parallel
and read the measurement on the LCD (A).
4.1 The reading OL will appear when a resistor
is open or outside the measurement range.
5.
Measuring a resistor with a high resistance
exceeding 1MΩ will require several seconds
to allow the reading to steady.
6.
Measuring a resistor with low resistance can lead to a measurement
error. Subtract the shorted test lead number from your reading to
reach your final measurement.

CONTINUITY MEASUREMENT

1.
Turn the power off and discharge all
capacitors in the electrical circuit.
2.
Switch the function selection dial (C) to the
Continuity (
3.
Insert the black test lead into the COM jack (E)
and the red test lead into the inputs jack (F).
4.
Connect test leads with the circuit in parallel.
5.
Read the measurement on the LCD (A).
5.1 The circuit is open when measuring resistance of >51Ω.
5.2 The circuit is in good condition when measuring resistance of ≤
10Ω. The buzzer will also sound.
DIODE MEASUREMENT
1.
Turn the power off and discharge all capacitors in the electrical circuit.
2.
Switch the function selection dial (C) to the Diode (
3.
Insert the black test lead into the COM jack (E) and the red test lead
into the inputs jack (F).
4.
Connect test leads with the circuit in parallel.
5.
Read the measurement on the LCD (A). The reading OL will appear
when the diode is either open or the polarity is reversed.
5.1 A silicon PN junction has a normal value between 500 to 800mV
(0.5 to 0.8V).
