1. Worn armature gear
bearing.

1. Metal workpiece too

4. Work surface or base
of tool not clean.

reaching magnet
while drilling.

SUGGESTED SOLUTION(S)
1. Have certified technician
repair the tool.
2. Repair or replace the
electromagnet.
3. Clean motor or have
serviced.
4. Use F2AL 250V fuse in tool.
5. Replace damaged
armature.
6. Replace carbon brushes.
7. Have tool repaired by
certified technician or
replace tool.
1. Replace gear bearings.
2. Replace gear.
3. Clean grease remnants out
and replace with new
grease.
1. Clamp additional ferrous
metal plate behind
workpiece to increase
thickness.
2 & 3. Clamp a thick ferrous
metal plate to the
workpiece.
4. Clean work surface and
bottom of tool of debris,
coatings or dirt.
5.1 Make sure power source
meets the tool's power
requirements.
5.2 Have qualified service
personnel inspect tool.
6. Repair damage to
magnet. File and clean
workpiece surface to
remove imperfections.
