Malfunctions and troubleshooting
Diagnosis and technical operations on the machine must be carried out by skilled technicians (in
mechanics, hydraulics, and electricity).
Call Merand's after sales service for any malfunction.
Fault
The doughball is too short.
The doughball is too long.
The doughball has a «big
belly»
The bread twists in the ends.
Dough sticks on felt belts.
The moulder doesn't work
Noise in the drive system.
The electric and hydraulic plans are supplied inside the machine.
The spare parts are available from the Merand after sales service.
Possible origin
The stretching plate is not tight
enough.
The stretching plate is too tight.
The laminating rollers are not
strong enough.
The stretching plate is too tight.
Hydrated dough and lack of flour.
The machine is not connected.
The power grid is not powered
up.
The On / Off button is on "0"
The motor thermal protection has
tripped.
The power supply cable is
damaged.
The moulder's motor is out of
service.
Chain not sufficiently lubricated.
The bearings are worn.

Drop down the right joystick a notch or two, which will
tighten the stretching plate.
Lift up the right joystick a notch or two, which will loosen
the stretching plate.
Drop down the right joystick a notch or two, which will
tighten the laminating rollers.
Drop down the right joystick a notch or two, which will
tighten the stretching plate.
Slightly flour everywhere and dust the top of the dough
balls so that there are no more sticky parts. It is always
recommended to flour the dough rather than putting too
much flour in the moulder.
Connect the moulder to the power grid.
Check that your power supply connector is powered
(check the fuses or connect another device).
Turn the On / Off button on "I"
Reset the thermal circuit breaker then call on a skilled
technician to determine the origin of the problem.
Change the power supply cable.
Check the motor supply then change the motor if
defective.
Remove the side covers and lubricate the chain.
Remove the side covers and replace the bearings.
