Inserting a Bit into the Bit Receptacle
1. Move the rotation direction changeover switch (4) to the middle position. This will lock
the operating switch (8).
2. Grip the bit you want by the ring (10), pull it away from the bit barrel (1) and turn it
over.
3. Push the shank (11) as far as it will go into the bit receptacle (12).

■ Do not switch over while the power tool is operating to avoid any damage to the
power tool.
Switching the Cordless Screwdriver On and Off
For the operating switch (8) to be activated, the rotation direction changeover switch (4)
must NOT be in the middle position.
Only place the power tool on the screw while it is switched off! Rotating drill bits
may slip off.
The LED charge status indicator (2) lights up while the operating switch is pressed. All
three LEDs should be lit up for full power of the power tool. If only the red LED or no
LED at all is lit up, the battery needs to be charged (see the "Charging Up the Battery"
chapter).

1. To change the direction of rotation of the bit which is insert-
ed, release the operating switch (8).
2. Press the rotation direction changeover switch (4) as far
as it will go. Depending on the position of the rotation di-
rection changeover switch, clockwise rotation is activated
for screwing in screws and anticlockwise rotation is acti-
vated for releasing or undoing screws.
When the rotation direction changeover switch is in the middle
position, the operating switch is locked.
1. Before you start work, check whether clockwise or anti-
clockwise rotation is activated. Do this by pressing the op-
erating switch.
2. Place the bit on the screw head, press the operating
switch to switch it on and hold it down until the screw has
been screwed in or removed. Then let go of the operating
switch. The power tool stops.
