Do not use the power tool if its switch is defective. Any power tool that cannot be
controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
Remove the plug from the mains socket and / or remove a detachable recharge-
able battery before making adjustments to the device, changing accessory
parts, or putting the power tool away. Such preventive safety measures reduce
the risk of starting the power tool accidentally.
Store idle power tools out of the reach of children. Do not allow people to use
the power tool who are not familiar with it who have not read these instruc-
tions. Power tools are dangerous in the hands of inexperienced people.
Handle power tools with care. Make sure moving parts function perfectly and
do not jam and check whether parts are bent or damaged in such a way that
the function of the power tool is impaired. Have damaged parts repaired before
using the power tool. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained power tools.
Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting tools with sharp
cutting edges are less likely to bind and are easier to control.
Use the power tool, tool bits etc. in accordance with these instructions. Take
account of the working conditions and the work to be performed. Use of power
tools for operations different from those intended could result in a hazardous situa-
tion.
Keep handles and gripping surfaces dry, clean and free of any oil or grease.
Slippery handles and gripping surfaces do not permit safe operation and control of
the power tool in unforeseen situations.
5) Service
Have your power tool repaired only by a qualifi ed expert using only genuine
replacement parts. This will ensure that the safety of the power tool is maintained.
6) Cordless Tool Use and Care
Only charge up the batteries using chargers which are recommended by the
manufacturer. For a charger which is suitable for a certain kind of battery, there is a
risk of fi re if it is used with other batteries.
Only use the designated batteries in the power tools. The use of different batter-
ies may cause injuries and the risk of fi re.
Keep the battery which is not being used away from paper clips, coins, keys,
nails, screws or other small metallic objects which might cause the contacts to
be bridged. A short circuit between the battery contacts may cause burns or a fi re.
If used incorrectly, fl uid may escape from the battery. Avoid contact with this.
Rinse with water if you happen to come into contact with it. If the fl uid gets into
your eyes, you should also seek medical assistance. Escaping battery fl uid can
lead to skin irritations or burns.
If the battery is damaged and used inappropriately, vapours may escape. Get
some fresh air and consult a doctor if you feel unwell. The vapours may irritate
the respiratory passages.
