7) Safety Instructions for Screwdrivers
Hold the power tool by the insulated gripping surfaces when carrying out work
in which the screw may hit hidden power cables. Contact of the screw with a live
cable may also apply a voltage to metallic parts of the device and result in an electric
shock.
Hold the power tool with a fi rm grip. High reaction torques can be produced for a
short time when tightening and undoing screws.
Secure the workpiece. A workpiece which is held securely with clamping devices or
a vice is held more securely than with your hand.
Wait until the power tool has come to a standstill before putting it down. The
tool bit may get caught and lead to a loss of control over the power tool.
Before doing any work on the power tool (e.g. maintenance, change of tool etc.)
and when transporting and storing it, move the rotation direction changeover
switch to the middle position. There is a danger of injury if the On/Off switch is
operated accidentally.
Protect the power tool from heat, e.g. also from persistent sunlight, fi re, water
and moisture. There is a risk of explosion.
8) Device-Specifi c Safety Instructions
This device may be used by children aged 8 and over and by people with re-

rect operation and injuries.
Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the power tool.
Cleaning and user maintenance may not be carried out by children. Otherwise
there is the risk of incorrect operation and injuries.
Protect the mains adapter and the mains cable from moisture or wet condi-
tions. The ingress of water increases the risk of an electric shock.
Should the power tool which is connected to the mains power fall into water,
switch off the power supply immediately. Do not attempt to pull it out of the water
while it is still connected to the mains power! Otherwise there is a danger of electric
shock.
Never touch the power tool, mains cable or mains adapter with wet hands when
these components are connected to the mains power. Otherwise there is a danger
of electric shock.
Make sure that the connected mains cable does not present a trip hazard. Oth-
erwise there is a danger of tripping.
Always check the mains cable and the mains adapter for damage before put-
ting them into operation. If you fi nd any damage or wear, do not use them to
prevent injuries.
Any replacement or repair of the plug / mains adapter or the mains connecting
cable must always be performed by the manufacturer of the power tool or its
customer service department. This will ensure that the safety of these components
is maintained.
