TWIN TOWER", "TWIN TOWER CORNER", "AULICA
TWIN" and "AULICA COMPACT TWIN" are available in "whirl-
pool" (5 outlets) and normal, left- and right-hand versions, de-
pending on the position of the shower, i.e. in the left-hand ver-
sion of "TWIN TOWER", "TWIN TOWER CORNER", "AULICA
TWIN" and "AULICA COMPACT TWIN", the shower is on your
left as you stand facing the curved side of the bath; in the right-
hand version, the shower is on your right.
"TWIN TOWER CORNER, "AULICA TWIN" and "AULICA COM-
PACT TWIN" are installed with the shower up against a corner;
"TWIN TOWER" has a third glass panel at the foot of the bath,
so as to enclose the shower on three sides, while the back of
the bath can be either in a corner or along a wall.
All models are supplied complete with taps (mounted on the
shower column), accessories, headrest (option on base version),
a front panel for the bath and a side panel (the latter only for Twin
Tower and Twin Tower Corner models): if TWIN TOWER is not
installed in a corner, an additional side panel for the bath is a-
vailable on request.
IMPORTANT: on delivery, check to ensure that all details deli-
vered are all in good condition; any complaints should be lod-
ged immediately with the forwarding agent.
MAKING ARRANGEMENTS FOR HYDRAULIC
AND ELECTRIC CONNECTIONS
To install "TWIN TOWER", "TWIN TOWER CORNER", "AULICA
TWIN" and "AULICA COMPACT TWIN" all you need is a con-
nection to the hot and cold water supply (for filling the bath and
delivering water to the shower functions). The water delivery pi-
pes must have a diameter of at least 14 mm. The piping con-
nections (90°, 1/2"M connectors) must be installed at floor le-
vel (figs. 2-3 , Twin Tower and Twin Tower Corner; fig. 6-7 Au-
lica Twin; fig. 10-11 Aulica Compact Twin).
For the whirlpool models, provision must also be made for an
earthed connection to the mains power supply, taking into ac-
count that the electric junction box is situated in the vicinity of
the pump (figs. 2-3-6-7-10-11); for the electric connection, re-
fer to the chapter on "Electrical safety" in the bath installation
handbook.
READ ALL THE INSTRUCTIONS COMPLETELY BEFORE
PROCEEDING WITH THE INSTALLATION.
INSTALLING THE BATH
Position the bath in the established place, make sure that it is
on a level and standing 57 cm off the floor, and check the that
the adjacent walls are perpendicular (fig. 16).
N.B.: The compensators in the shower can make up for any dif-
ference of up to 5 mm. Any greater errors in perpendicularity mu-
st be compensated for by means of spacers between the bath
and the wall or between the shower cubicle and the wall (fig. 15).
IMPORTANT: before starting the shower assembly operations,
check that the bath works perfectly and make sure that there a-
re no leaks (as explained in the bath installation handbook), e-
specially in places that cannot be accessed simply by removing
the front panel.
INSTALLING THE SHOWER COLUMN
Recover the bag of hardware needed for subsequent assembly
operations (contained in the pack with the glass panels).
Pre-assemble 4 stainless steel M4x40 dowels (screws with no
heads) (fig. 17, detail 1), leaving about 20 mm of thread still
showing.
Rest the shower column over the bath, inserting the pre-as-
sembled dowels, the two flexible hoses and the earthing wire in
their respective holes in the bath (fig. 17, detail 2).
Seal the holes for the passage of the dowels with silicone (fig.
17, detail 3).
Attach the column to the bath, working from underneath the
rim, with 3 stainless steel M4 hexagon nuts and 3 stainless steel
washers, diam. 4.3x9 (fig. 17, detail 3). The fourth nut is added
at the end, after the assembly of the column cover panel.
Connect the earthing wire coming from the mixer tap to the e-
quipotential terminal situated near the pump, marked with the
earthing symbol
.
INSTALLING THE CURVED GLASS PANEL
N.B.: As you have to work from inside the bath, make sure that
it is suitably protected.

Pre-assemble 2 stainless steel M4x40 dowels (screws with no
heads) (fig. 18) on the curved glass panel, leaving about 20 mm
of thread still showing.
Apply silicone to the bottom part of the glass panel uprights and
to the holes for the passage of the dowels (fig. 18).
Fit the compensator on the glass panel upright and position the
assembly over the rim of the bath, slotting the profile of the cur-
ved glass panel into the profile on the shower column; then fix the
curved glass panel to the bath by means of 2 M4 hexagon nuts
and 2 washers diam. 4.3x9 (fig. 18).
While holding the compensator perfectly perpendicular (check this
with the spirit level), drill holes in the wall with a diam. 6 mm drill
tip, using the holes in the compensator as a template, then insert
screw anchors in the holes (fig. 19).
Detach the bath slightly from the wall and remove any dust and
grit produced while making the holes in the wall. Raise the com-
pensator, holding it against the glass panel upright, just enou-
gh to be able to apply silicone to the bottom and all along the
part that will rest against the wall.
