Before sending the appliance to Dirt Devil
Customer Services, use the following table to
check whether you can correct the malfunc-
tions yourself.

Switch off the appliance before trouble-
shooting. Never use a defective appliance.

6.4 If the appliance is defective
Never operate a defective appliance or an
appliance with a defective cable. If the mains
cable of this appliance is damaged it must be
replaced by the manufacturers, their author-
ised service representative or a similarly qual-
ified person to avoid danger to the user.

6.5 Waste disposal

Dispose of the appliance in com-
pliance with the environmental
protection laws of your country.
Electrical waste may not be dis-
posed of together with domestic
waste.
Use local old-appliance collection points in-
stead. The filters used are made from environ-
ment-friendly materials. You may dispose of
them in your household waste.
6.6 Warranty
The minimum warranty standard is the re-
spective implementation of EU Directive
1999/44/EC in national law providing you ac-
quired the appliance as a consumer within the
European Union.
