INSTALLING THE TINES
See Figures 2 - 3.
 Remove the battery pack.
 Remove the hitch pins from the studs on the motor head.
 Fit the tines onto the studs of the motor housing so that
the studs go through the holes of the tines.
NOTE: Be sure the flat sides of the studs are aligned with
the flat side of the holes of the tines.
 To secure tines in place, insert the hitch pins into the
holes located on either side of the studs so that the small
rounded section of the hitch pin fits over the stud.
WARNING:
Do not allow familiarity with products to make you care-
less. Remember that a careless fraction of a second is
sufficient to inflict serious injury.
WARNING:
Always wear eye protection with side shields marked to
comply with ANSI Z87.1. Failure to do so could result in
objects being thrown into your eyes and other possible
serious injuries.
WARNING:
Do not use any attachments or accessories not
recommended by the manufacturer of this product. The
use of attachments or accessories not recommended
can result in serious personal injury.
WARNING:
Do not allow hands, feet, or any other part of the body or
clothing near the oscillating tines or any other moving part.
The tines begin to oscillate once the lock-out button is
depressed and switch trigger is pulled. The tines continue
to oscillate until the switch trigger is released. Failure
to avoid contact could cause serious personal injury.
ASSEMBLY
ATTACHING THE FRONT HANDLE
See Figure 4.
 Loosen and remove the wing bolt from the handle.
 Install the handle on the rear portion of the telescoping
shaft in the area indicated by the illustration.
 Adjust handle up or down, if necessary, to desired operat-
ing position.
 Reinstall the wing bolt. Tighten wing bolt to secure.

OPERATION

WARNING:
Always remove battery pack from your tool when you are
assembling parts, making adjustments, cleaning, or when
not in use. Removing battery pack will prevent accidental
starting that could cause serious personal injury.

INSTALLING/REMOVING BATTERY PACK

See Figure 5.
 Insert the battery pack into the product as shown.
 Make sure the latches on each side of the battery pack
snap in place and that battery pack is secured in the
product before beginning operation.
 Depress the latches to remove the battery pack.
WARNING:
To avoid serious personal injury, always remove the bat-
tery pack and keep hands clear of the lock-out button
when carrying or transporting the tool.
STARTING/STOPPING THE CULTIVATOR
See Figure 6.
 To start the cultivator, press and hold the trigger lock-out,
then depress the switch trigger.
 To stop the cultivator, release the switch trigger.
