3. Use

3.1. Charging the battery

It is essential to charge the battery for about 2 hours before using the clippers
for the first time. Charge the clippers at least once during the year following
the date of delivery. The battery reaches its full capacity after 3 or 4 charging
cycles.
USE ONLY THE POWER PACK SUPPLIED, MODEL BI12TA-050200-AdV (Fig. 1-K).
When charging, it is advisable to switch the clippers off (On/Off button set
to 0, Fig. 1-B).
 Insert the electrical lead into the socket of the clippers (Fig. 3a).
 Connect the power pack (Fig. 1-K) to a mains power socket.
 When completely charged, the clippers can be used without the electrical lead.
3.2. Operation
When first used, lubricate the blades by applying a drop of oil to the points
shown (Fig. 5).

3.2.1. Switching on/off

 Switch the clippers on by pressing the On/Off switch (Fig. 1-B).
 To stop the clippers, press the On/Off switch again (Fig. 1-B).
 When the clippers are not in use, it is advisable to clip the cutter cover (Fig. 1-N)
onto the blades.
3.2.2. Use with or without electrical lead
 With a new, fully charged battery, the clippers can be used without the power
lead for about 150 minutes.
 Charge the battery of the clippers before the end of the autonomy period, refer
to § 3.1.
 The clippers can be used with the power lead. To do so, connect the cable to the
clippers (Fig. 3a) and connect the power pack (Fig. 1-K) to a mains power socket.
3.3. Adjusting the cutting height with the lever
The cutting height can be adjusted during use of the clippers, with the adjusting lever
(Fig. 1-C):
 Push the lever upwards to reduce the cutting height.
 Push the lever downwards to increase the cutting height.
