Mounting
Only use the heater in hanging position. Hanging by its chain. See figure 1, 2, 5:
•
The Hook on the ceiling hanging the Patio Heater must be able to undertake
a weight 3 or 4 times that of the Patio Heater itself.
•
Place the hook around the Ceiling Hook and clip on any Ring of the Chain
(see A figure 1, 2, 3) to adjust the height of the Patio Heater to the Floor.
•
Only operate the heater when is it in the upright position.
•
Connect the power cable to a suitable socket (refer to rating label) that is
located in a safe, dry area.
•
Tide up the over length of the power cord with a tie wrap (see figure 4)
•
CAUTION: make sure the powercord can never touch the heater.
Operation PEC2015
Heater is equipped with 2 heat settings: Low and High.
•
Low power (600W): pull the Switch Cord once. Once the Switch Cord is pul-
led, the bigger top heating element will glow and radiate heat.
•
High power (1500W): pull the Switch Cord again. This will cause both the
bottom and top heating elements to glow and radiate heat.
Operation PEC2021
•
Heater is equipped with 2 heat settings: Low and High.
•
Place 2 x AAA batteries 1.5V (not included) in the remote control.
•
Before using the Remote control make sure the heater is switched on using
button I (figure 2)
•
(I) position for turn on. (0) position for turn off.
•
remote control (see figure 2 item J):
•
Press one time for 900W,
•
Press again for 2100W (900W+1200W).
•
Operation without remote control:
Press the small grey button switch to operate your patio heater turn on or
turn off, press one time for 900W, press again time for 2100W (900+1200W).
MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR
•
Unplug the unit and let it cool completely.
•
The outer shell may only be cleaned with a soft, damp cloth. Use a mild deter-
gent if necessary. After cleaning, dry the unit with a soft cloth.
•
DO NOT use alcohol, gasoline, abrasive powders, furniture polish, or rough
brushes to clean the heater. This may cause damage or deterioration to the
surface of the heater.
•
Although this heater is outdoor approved, DO NOT immerse the heater in
water for your safety.
•
Wait until the unit is completely dry before use.
•
Replacing the halogen tube should only be carried out by a qualified electri-
cian or by a Qlima recommended service center.
TROUBLE SHOOTING
If the heater will not operate, please check the following before seeking repair of
service:
•
Check if the power cord is plugged into an electrical outlet, if not: plug in.
