12. TROUBLESHOOTING AND REPAIR
Possible reasons
Problem
The engine does
The throttle valve is not in the correct position.
not start
The fuel tank is empty.
The air filter element is dirty.
The spark plug is loose.
The spark plug lead is loose or disconnected
from the plug.
The gap does not correspond to the spark plug.
The spark plug is defective.
The carburetor is running full of fuel.
Defective ignition module.
Engine speed is
The cutting depth is too large
reduced.
The grass too high
The discharge opening is blocked
The air filter is clogged
Poor results
The cutting depth is too small
when mowing
Worn cutting blades
The grass
The grass collector is full/clogged.

Unusual noises
Screws, nuts, or other fastening parts are loose.

Corrective actions
Move the throttle valve to
the correct position.
Fill the tank with fuel: see
MANUAL.
Clean the air filter
element: see MANUAL.
Tighten the spark plug.
Fit the spark plug cable to
the spark plug.
Adjust the correct gap
between the electrodes.
Fit new, correctly closed
plug: see MANUAL.
Remove the air filter
element and pull
continuously on the starter
cable until the carburetor
has freed itself and then
install the air filter
element.
Contact customer service.
Set to the smaller cutting
depth
Mow the lawn before
loosening.
Pull out the spark plug
connector and remove the
blockage.
Clean air filter: see
MANUAL.
Adjust to more
considerable cutting
depth.
Exchange of the cutting
blades in a special
workshop.
Stop the scarifier. Empty
or clean the grass
collector
Pull out spark plug
connector, clean ejector
shaft
Tighten the parts.
Tighten the blade firmly.
Balance the blade.
