- On termination the of any maintenance procedure or mechanical adjustment the Harvester
must only be started by a qualified mechanic who must ensure that:
• the works have been completed;
• the equipment functions properly;
• the safety devices are operational;
• the equipment is not being currently utilised.
4.1. Daily maintenance
Referring to figure 6 of this instruction manual:
- check lock of screws (G);
- ensure free movement of the parts at the points (F);
- check the condition of the combs (E) if necessary replace the damaged ones by loosening
the fixing screws (G) with the proper spanner; remove the damaged comb and mount the
new one. It's important that the combs (E) should slide into place smoothly and easily;
- check that the shock protections (M) are in place and working correctly. Replace, if damaged,
by loosening the fixing screws (G) and unscrewing them from the comb (E).
4.2. Weekly maintenance
Referring to figure 6 of this instruction manual:
- check the condition of the combs (E) and if necessary replace the damaged ones in the
manner set out in paragraph "4.1. Daily maintenance";
- do a general check up of the machine to make sure it is whole;
- clean the Harvester with compressed air about every 30 working hours;
- lubricate every 50 hours with 10 ml of dedicated gearbox grease (RETINAX HD2).
