1.9. Sound level
The air noise level created by the Harvester under operating conditions was detected using a
sound level meter with integrator.
Measurements have been carried out in accordance with EN ISO 3746:2010 by a competent
laboratory. The tests, carried out in a more penalising working condition in acoustic terms,
namely with the telescopic rod adjusted to a length of 1.2 m, have given the following results:
- Equivalent weighted sound pressure average level: LpAm = 72,7 dB(A-).
- Sound pressure level at operator's station: LpA = 80,7 dB(A).
- Sound power level of conventional: LwA = 87,4 dB(A).
1.10. Vibration level
The level of vibrations transmitted to the operator's hand-arm system by the Harvester in
operating conditions has been measured by triaxial accelerometers connected to appropriate
instrumentation.
Measurements have been made in compliance with the EN ISO 20643:2008 standard by an ex-
perienced laboratory by installing a rod mod. BO 06L. The tests have given the following results:
- Weighted root mean square value measured on the main handle at the bottom of the sup-
porting telescopic rod, where the operator can activate the ignition control:
- a. with telescopic rod type AL.200: a
b. with telescopic rod type AL.300: a
- Weighted root mean square value measured on the secondary handle located on the rod,
at about 60 cm from the main handle:
- a. with telescopic rod type AL.200: a
b. with telescopic rod type AL.300: a
1.11. EC marking of the Harvester
Directive 2006/42/EC, recasting of the previous directives in terms of machine safety which,
on 29th December 2009, repealed the previous directive 98/37/EC, specifies the minimal
con-ditions for a machine to be sold on the European Union market. All machines can be sold
and commissioned only if they do not jeopardise the health and safety of people, animals or
property. The Harvester is a machine for threshing and harvesting olives and therefore does
not fall under the machine categories included in the list provided in Annex IV of the Directive
(particularly dangerous machines).
In order to certify the conformity of the machine with the provisions of Directive 2006/42/EC,
before placing the product on the market, Company applied the procedure described in Art. 5.
In this sense, the manufacturer has provided for: compliance with the relevant safety require-
ments; availability of the technical file as stipulated in Annex VI; implementation of all the tests
and inspections required by the reference standards and compliance with the essential health
and safety requirements indicated in Annex I of the Directive itself. The construction technical
file, which contains the basic project information and all the characteristics related to machine
safety, was drafted in accordance with the provisions of Annex VI, and can be made available
by the individual indicated in the CE Declaration of Conformity for any verification carried out
by the supervisory authorities, following a justified request, as provided for by the relevant laws
in force.
