3. USAGE INSTRUCTIONS
Before starting to use the Harvester it is mandatory to read and perfectly understand the
instruc-tions contained below.
Read the instructions contained in the chapter "2. GENERAL SAFETY AND ACCIDENT
PREVENTION STANDARDS".
3.1. Functioning
The Harvester is equipped with a 12 Volt DC motor. The current required for operation is ma-
naged by a battery to which you can connect using the clamps of the power cable provided.
The power cable is complete with a 20 Ah fuse that trips in the event of a tool overload.
It is recommended to use the supplied power cord only. If the cord is shortened or leng-
thened in fact, the calibration values change and proper machine operation is not assured.
The Harvester has been designed for good performance combined with low energy consumption,
and with respect for the environment. In order to keep the Harvester undamaged and in perfect
working order, it is essential to comply with the following recommendations:
- make sure that the terminals are correctly connected to the battery (red + and black -) before
each time of use;
- when it is not in use, do not leave the Harvester outside or in damp places, to prevent oxi-
disation of the more exposed parts (terminals, control unit etc.);
After having unpacked the product and ascertained that it has suffered no damage, proceed
with the following steps:
- before connecting the handle of the Harvester to the extension cable make sure the switch
is in position "0" (fig. 4);
- connect the socket (C) of the extension cable to the plug (B) of the handle (fig. 6);
- ensure that the rod (D) (fig. 6) is closed tight;
- connect the power cable terminals to the battery (red + and black -) (Note: Only 12 Volt
batteries may be used);
- check tightening of screws (G) (fig. 6) using the allen key (Z) supplied, tighten 1/4 turn;
