Cleaning Instructions:
Echo-Screen III devices and their components should be cleaned regularly, as follows:
Daily perform a light cleaning of the docking station
As needed to remove built up dirt, thoroughly clean the docking station.
Light Cleaning of the Docking Station:
1. Remove the spare battery from the docking station, and unplug all cables, including the USB and
power cables.
IMPORTANT! When unplugging cables, hold onto the connector or plug. Do not pull on the cable.
2. Use a prepackaged alcohol wipe or a lint-free cloth dampened (not wet) with 70% isopropyl alcohol to
wipe down the docking station's plastic and rubber surfaces. Use a swab to reach small areas.
3. Allow the docking station to dry thoroughly.
4. Reinstall the battery and connect the power and USB cable.
For thorough cleaning of the docking station, unplug all cables, and remove the spare battery. Use a
damp (not wet) lint-free cloth moistened with mild detergent, such as liquid dishwashing detergent, and
water diluted to the detergent manufacturer's recommendation to wipe the docking station's plastic and
rubber surfaces. Let the docking station dry and then follow the routine cleaning protocol.

WARNING
Do not use the Echo-Screen III device to screen or connect to a patient while it is docked in the
docking station or plugged into external power.
Take care to keep excess alcohol or soapy water from running past the contacts into the interior of
the docking station. Do not immerse the device in water or other cleaning solutions. Failure to
follow this instruction can damage the device or docking station, or result in electrical shorting of
the battery, fire, or electrical shock.
