Routine checks for cleaning results
The process must be validated before using for the first time.
Instruments should be dismantled on a sample basis for routine
cleanliness checks after their last operative use and machine
reprocessing.
To do this cap the Bowden cables on the guide wheels and pull off
and dismantle the distal functional part.
The inner distal cylinder through which the Bowden cables are
passed to the functional end must be checked optically with
magnification and by protein analysis.
To check before loading the machine and before start-
ing a programme
- Check that the filter plate in the water inlet pipe is in place and
clean.
- Is the inserted holder correctly connected to the module (if
present)?
- Is the hose adapter correctly connected to the rinse connection on
the shaft (if present)?
For validation purposes please make sure that you follow the
loading instructions given on the template.
 Make sure that all screw connectors are fitted with injector
nozzles, adapters, irrigation sleeves or blind stoppers to ensure
that all rinsing fittings in use are supplied with sufficient
standardised pressure.
Damaged fittings must not be used.
Damaged silicone tubes must be replaced with new ones before
the module is used again.
Rinsing positions not in use do not have to be fitted with blind
stoppers.
Manual pre-cleaning
 On-site pre-treatment and preparation for machine reprocessing
must be carried out according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Instruments, particularly the distal functional ends, must be
optically clean before they are loaded into the A 600 module.
