Safety Precautions and Warnings
As the user o f this product, you are solely respons ible for operating in a manner that
does not endanger yourself and oth ers or result in damage to the product or property of
others.
This model is contro lled by a ra dio signal subject to interfe rence from many sources
outside y our control. This in terference c an cause mom entary l oss of control, so it is
advisable to always keep a safe dis tance in all directions around your model as this
margin will help avoid collisions or i njury.
Never operate your model with l ow trans mitter batteries .
Al ways operate your model i n open spaces away from full- size vehicles, traffic and
people.
Never operate the model in the street or in popu lated areas for any reason.
Carefully f ollow the directions and warni ngs for this and an y optional support
equip ment (chargers , rechargeable battery packs, etc.) you use.
Keep all chemicals, small parts and anything electrical out of the reach of children.
WATER-RESISTANT VEHICLE WITH WATERPROOF ELECTRONICS
Your new Horizon Hobby vehicle has been desi gned and built with a combination of
wa terproof and water-resistant components to allow yo u to operate the produ ct in many
"wet conditions," incl udin g puddl es, creeks, wet grass, snow and e ven rain.
While the entire vehicle is highly water-resistant , it is no t co mplete ly waterproof and
your v ehic le s hou ld NOT be treated like a submarine. The vari ous ele ctronic c ompo-
nents used in the vehicle, such as the Elect ronic Speed Control (E SC), servo(s) and
receiv er are waterproof, however, most of the mech anical components are water- resis-
tant and should not be submerged.
Metal parts, including the bearings, hinge pins, scre ws and nuts, as well as the co ntacts
in the electric al cables, will be susceptible to corrosion if additi onal maintenance is not
performed after runni ng i n wet conditions. To maximize the long-term performance of
your v ehic le a nd to keep the warranty intac t, the procedures described in the "Wet Co n-
ditions Maintenance" section below mus t be pe rformed regularly if you choose to run
in wet conditio ns. If you are not willing to perform the additi onal care and maintenanc e
required, then yo u should not operate th e vehic le in tho se conditions.

comp lying wi th the following precaut ions co uld result in product ma lfunctio n
and/or void the warranty.
General Precautions
Read through the wet conditi ons maintenanc e proce dures and mak e su re that you
have all the tools you will need to properly maintain your vehicle.
Not all bat teries can be used in wet conditions. Consult the battery manufacturer
before us e. Cauti on should be taken when using Li -Po batteries in we t conditi ons.
Most transmit ters are not water- resis tant. Consu lt your transm itter 's manual or the
manufacturer before ope ration.
Never operate your transmitter or vehicle where ligh tning may be prese nt.
Do not operate yo ur vehicle where it could c ome in contact with salt water (oce an
wa ter or water on salt-co vered roads), contaminated or po lluted water. Salt water
is very condu ctive and highly corrosive, so use caution.
Ev en minimal water c ontact can reduce the l ife o f your motor if it has not been
apply very light throttle until the water is mo stly removed from the motor. Running a
we t motor at high speed s ma y rapidly damage the motor.
Dri ving in wet conditions can reduce the life of the motor. The additional resistance

remove any water that may have gotten into sm all crevices or corners.

dis placing light oil. Do not spray the motor.
Let the vehicle air dry before you store it. Water (and oil) may co ntinue to drip for a
few hours.
Inc reas e the frequenc y of disassembly, inspectio n and lubric ation of the following:
- Front an d rear axle hub assembly bearings.
- All transmiss ion cases, gears and differentials .
- Motor—clean with an aerosol motor cleaner and re-oil the bearings
with lig htweig ht motor oil .
