- For a time-limited measurement, the measurement time can be preset using the "TIME" but-
ton. Afterwards, the meter automatically turns off. If you want to end the measurement early,
press the "TEST" button. The last measured value is retained and the measurement circuit is
discharged.
- If "OL" (for overload) or ">" appears on the display, you have exceeded the measuring range
or the measuring circuit has high resistance.
- Leave the measuring leads connected until the auxiliary voltage display stands at zero. After
measuring, remove the measuring leads from the measured object and turn the DMM off.

11. MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

a) General
Apart from the occasional battery and fuse change, the meter is maintenance-free. Repair or
maintenance work must be carried out by a specialist.
In order to ensure the measurement accuracy over a long period, we recommend that you
have the device calibrated once a year.
b) Changing the batteries
If the battery change symbol appears in the display, you must replace the batteries completely
with new ones. The battery change is explained to you in detail in Chapter 7. Inserting/chang-
ing the batteries.
