Drill holes about 15 mm deep in the skid bars through the holes already drilled in the skid tubes,
using a 2.2 mm Ø bit from the underside, so that the 2.9 x 13 mm self-tapping screws can be
fitted to secure the skid components. Note that the screw heads are located inside the skid.
Now unscrew one skid tube so that the skid bars can be threaded through the fuselage. You
may find that the square openings have to be trimmed slightly; they should have sharp edges
and corners, and the openings should be enlarged until the marked outlines disappear
completely.
1.3 Installing the skid landing gear
Fit the skid bars through the fuselage, then re-attach the previously removed skid. Place the
model on a flat surface and centre the fuselage on the skid bars; use a pencil to mark the points
on the skid bars where they exit the fuselage.
