4.3 Cleaning the silicone lid gasket
After every use of the pressure cooker, remove the silicone gasket from the lid, hand
wash it thoroughly with soap, sponge, and hot water, and dry it. Depending on the
frequency of use of your pressure cooker (if it is used every day) the lid gasket should
be replaced with a new original gasket in every 2 years.
5. Troubleshooting
5.1 The pressure cooker cannot be closed.
• Place the gasket into the lid properly.
• Ensure that the clamps are open fully on both sides.
• If the food in the pressure cooker is boiling, the pressure inside will lift the lid up and
make the locking difficult when you are trying closing the lid.
• Try bringing the cooking valve to the "steam discharge" position and manually
locking the lid.
• The lid mechanism might be broken, take the pressure cooker where you bought it
or contact the manufacturer.
5.2 Too much steam is discharged through the cooking valve while cooking.
• The heat might be too high. Lower the heat as much as possible.
• The cooking valve might be dirty. After discharging the cooker pressure, remove it
and clean the cooking valve.
• Cooking valve might be broken. Replace it with a new one from the manufacturer.
5.3 There is uncontrollable steam discharge through the bottom and the
sides of the pressure cooker lid.
• Cooking valve might be dirty or clogged. Cool the cooker completely, and remove,
and clean the cooking valve according to the instructions.
• There might not be any liquid in the cooker, add at least a glass of water.
• Check whether the gasket is broken.
• Be sure that the O-ring that is under the valve gasket is placed properly.
