CON NECTI ON
CO NNECTIO N: the c onnec tion between the two Brio To p
devices is by means of an unshielded cable (4x0.5 mm
shown in the diagram alongs ide. the maximum length of the
cable is 100 cm inc luding stripped s ections.
A pre-as sembled connection cable is available, with
terminals and numbered wires (c ode no. SR-CBL4X05-
100). The operating mode must be set to "P+P" and the parameter Aux. Con. to "1".
MAST ER STATUS: when the devic e is MASTER it is sensitive to
variat ions in system pressure, and is therefore able to start and stop the
electric pump according to system demands.
SLAVE STATUS: when the device is SLAVE the letter "s" appears on the
bottom line of the d isplay; in th is condition, the pump is on ly started if the
press ure falls below the value set in the parameter "Pmin2".
OPERAT ION: when s witc hed on, the first device that manages to assume
priorit y is as signed the status of "MASTER" while the other becomes
"SLAVE". On opening of the utilities, the "MASTER" device starts up the
pump firs t; if the water demand is such that operation of one pump only is not suffic ient, the s ec ond
pump (SLAVE device) is s tarted up. O n progress ive closure of utilit ies, the rise in sys tem pres sure leads
to simultaneous shutdown of the two pumps at the value s et in Pmax.. After s hutdown the status of
"MASTER" is trans ferred to the other device, to ensure that there is continuous alternation of which
pump is s tarted up firs t. In the event of a fault o r er ror on one of the two Brio Top dev ices , the other is
automatic ally as signed the s tatus of Master and starts to operate independently. If the c urrent MASTER
device shuts down due to a power failure, or blocks due to a fault, system control is transferred to the
SLAVE devic e, which then immediately becomes the new MASTER.
The programmed values of Pmin, Pmin2 and Pmax must be the same on both devices.

deliver y manifold w ithout inserting any
type of check valve. Connect the intake
lines of the pumps to the common
suc tion manifold, ins erting a check
valve fo r eac h pump to prevent
drainage when stopped. Brio Top can
be mounted vertically or horizontally.
