3.4 QIK4E - QIK7EH rod balancing
GB
-
Check the choice of the suitable spring, as indicated in the
tables on page 5.
-
Release the motor and place the rod in the vertical opening
position.
-
Insert the spring in the correct position, depending on the
opening direction chosen (Fig. 5).
-
Using the nuts positioned above the spring, compress the
spring until the rod is balanced in a position of 5-30° com-
pared with the floor (in this position, the rod must remain
still, or tend slightly upwards).
Warning: the compression of the spring [15] must respect
the measurement A indicated in fig. 5.
-
Check also that, in the end positions of opening and clo-
sing, the rod remains still.
Warning: never use the force of the motor to support the
weight of the bar. Always use the balancing spring.
3.5 QIK3E rod balancing
The QIK3E barrier is supplied with the spring already fitted for
right-hand opening. If left-hand opening is required, disconnect
the spring and connect it to points [P] and [Q] indicated in the
diagram.
-
Release the motor and place the rod in the vertical opening
position.
Note: only a bar with a maximum length of 2700 mm can
be connected to the QIK3E barrier.
-
With the adjuster [R], adjust the spring until the rod is
balanced in a position of 5-30° compared with the floor
(in this position, the rod must remain still, or tend slightly
upwards).
-
Check also that, in the end positions of opening and clo-
sing, the rod remains still.
Warning: never use the force of the motor to support the
weight of the bar. Always use the balancing spring.

-
Regulate the limit switch sliding blocks [13] for opening
and closing, so that the motor stops 2-3 mm before the
mechanical stop [17].
