- Translation of the original instructions
In the case of single-pole power cables, it is recommended that the laying spacing the cables between them is at least 0,5 diameters.
For safety reasons, during the descent of the pump in the well, use a safety rope tied into the hole on the outlet of the pump or to the
first portion of the discharge pipe.
Block the pipeline in the delivery port using the appropriate grain unscrewing.
The minimum level probe must be positioned above the suction grille of the pump to such a height as to meet the minimum suction
pressure required by the pump.
Verify that the pipeline is suitable to resist to the maximum pressure and the forces that act on it.
WARNING!
For threaded pipes: check that each tube is provided with the anti-rotation safety and this is correctly secured.
The lifting device used to install the group must have enough capacity for the total weight to be lifted. Account

must be taken of the weight of the group, cables, pipes and water contained in them.
WARNING!
Prevent the motor to lay on the bottom.
Install a non-return valve on the delivery pipe even if the pump is equipped with integrated valve in the delivery

port.
HORIZONTAL INSTALLATION IN RESERVOIR
The tilted installation or horizontally (angle between 0°- Vertical and 90°- Horizontal) is allowed for MS series motors according to the
power and only for special versions: refer to the technical catalogs SAER.
It recommends the correct installation of the supports to prevent the pump to work cantilever. For horizontal installations it is necessary
the use of a cooling jacket.
Main recommendations for horizontal installation:
If possible, install the unit so that it has a positive slope, although minimal.
The pump must always transmit a positive axial load (therefore towards the back of the motor).
Pump and motor should maintain alignment during operation: the maximum allowed misalignment between the pump and mo-
tor is of 2 mm to 1000 mm in length. The misalignment is measured both on the pump on the motor which, starting from the
coupling flange ofboth.
The motor must be supported in two points: in correspondence of the lower support and in correspondence of the upper sup-
port, near to the flange coupling with the pump.
It is recommended not to use supports that impede the flow of water along the motor, preventing proper. cooling.
For MS series motors: Install the motor so that the compensation valves are located in the upper part of the motor.
Maximum number of starts per hour: halving the number of maximum allowable goodwill for vertical installation (Tab.I).
Always ensure the required water level upon the suction grid for the operation of the pump.
