Cleaning pyrolytic enamel ovens

The oven door is hot during the pyrolytic
cleaning cycle. Keep young children at a
safe distance.
During the pyrolytic cleaning cycle, do not
use the hobs.
Before starting the pyrolytic cleaning cycle,
remove all accessories which are not
designed to withstand the high temperature
of the cleaning cycle and would risk
damaging your oven.
Remove the excess of residue (spillages,
fatty deposits) which would cause an
excessive build-up of smoke.
Before starting the cleaning cycle, check that the
oven door is fully closed. The heating elements
do not work if the oven door is open.
Principle
The interior of your oven is made of an enamel specifically
designed to withstand high temperatures. These parts have
a shiny appearance and are smooth to the touch. The
temperature of the oven rises to around 470°C to burn all
the deposits (fat, sugars, eggs, dough etc.)
Safety
For your safety, during the pyrolytic cycle, the oven door
is automatically locked as soon as the temperature reaches
300°C.
Above 300°C, the door remains locked even if the
pyrolytic cycle is stopped (power cut or intentional
cancellation). You must wait until the oven has cooled
down before the door unlocks.
A cooling fan is in operation during the cleaning cycle. The
fan continues to run after the cleaning operation until the
oven has cooled down sufficiently.

Everyday maintenance

Whenever the oven becomes dirty, make a habit of
removing the residue with a sponge.
If food has spilled over onto the bottom of the oven, wet it
and leave it to soak but do not scrape at it and avoid
abrasives which risk scratching and damaging the coatings
(enamel, varnish, polish).

Regular maintenance

After a pyrolytic cleaning cycle, run a damp sponge over
the inside of the cooled-down oven to remove the white
deposits. Do not hesitate to clean your oven as often as
you need to. You could start the pyrolytic cleaning process
after a cooking session to benefit from the heat already
accumulated in the oven. The cleaning cycle will
immobilise your appliance for around 2 to 3 hours.
After a significant number of cooking, the
cleaning reminder suggests to activate a
pyrolytic cleaning cycle.
An acoustic signal will be emitted, the
„Pyro" message will appear in the display
for about 15 seconds, followed by another
acoustic signal.
Select the type of pyrolytic cycle depending
on how dirty the oven is.
The reminder message will be displayed
each time the oven is switched off until a
complete pyrolytic cleaning cycle is
performed.
