11. OPERATION

a) Button functions
: Turn the device on and off.
CAL: Press and hold the button for 3 seconds to switch to calibration mode.
LOCK: Freeze the current reading.
MAX/MIN: Press and hold the button for 3 seconds to switch to MAX/MIN mode.
Briefly.press.the.Mode button to switch between different measuring modes.
Press and hold the Mode button for 2 seconds to select the temperature unit: °C (Celsius) or °F
(Fahrenheit).
STORE: Save the current reading.
RECALL: Press and hold the button for 3 seconds to switch to storage mode and to recall any stored
readings.
Scroll through readings in the memory.
b) Preparation
• Slide off the protective cap (12) and then remove the moisturizing cap (11).
• Rinse the 3-in-1 measuring electrode (10) with clean water. Then dry the exterior surfaces of the electrode.
Never clean or touch the surfaces of the inner black conductivity electrode, as that one is very
sensitive and could get damaged otherwise. It is not necessary to dry that area.
c) Calibration
When.handling.calibration.fluids,.wear.appropriate.gloves.and.protective.goggles.
It is not necessary to calibrate the device before each single measurement. We recommend calibrating the device
every ten measurements or every two weeks. Once the provided buffer/calibration solutions have been used up, you
can purchase them separately as additional accessory.

1. Make sure to use the 3-in-1 measuring electrode. Remove the protective cap and moisturizing cap, and then
turn on the device using the
2. Press the Mode button (5) and switch to pH mode.
3. Insert the measuring electrode 2-3 cm into the buffer solution (pH 7.00). Carry out a few stirring movements and
wait for the reading in the LCD to stabilize. That can take up to 60 seconds.
