Preparing for measurement / Setting up mode

When it is switched on, the two-line display on the front of the MP85A process
controller shows the measured value and another line with status information.
If the device detects an error, this will also be shown on the display (for a de-
scription, see the Chapter "Error messages" and Chapter 9 in the MP85A pro-
cess controller operating manual).
Further device configuration is then implemented with the "PME Assistant".
The individual masks are called up by clicking on the folder in the tree struc-
ture.
To close the window, click on the button at the top right of the window as is
the rule in Windows. The settings made in that window will then also be ap-
plied!
TIP
In order not to invalidate subsequent statistics while in set up mode, the PME
Assistance (menu: data backup) can be used to switch off the statistics proc-
essing.
Sensor settings:
The relevant characteristic transducer values must be entered with the PME
Assistant before measurements can be made.
1. Sensors with TEDS (electronic data sheet)
If the MP85A process controller is working with sensors that have TEDS, the
sensor settings can be transferred to the amplifier by clicking in the window
TEDS (Preparing for measurement − > Amplifier − > TEDS menu). Then all
that is needed is a zero balance.
