Transport and storage

• Take the weight of the product, which is up to 40 kg, into account.
For transport purposes, the transport aids are to be positioned at the permissible support spacing
(support spacing è Chapter 12 Characteristic curves).
• Storage conditions:
– short storage times
– cool, dry, UV- and corrosion-resistant location.

Requirements for product use

Note
Malfunctions will occur if the device is not used correctly.
• Always comply with the specifications in this chapter.
• Take into consideration the legal regulations applicable for the location as well as:
– Regulations and standards
– Regulations of testing organisations and insurers
– National specifications.
• Observe the warnings and notes on the product and in the relevant operating instructions.
• Remove transport packaging, such as foils, caps and cardboard.
The material used in the packaging has been specifically chosen for its recyclability (exception: Oil
paper = residual waste). For ELFA-RF-...-P0, check the installation space of the guide for foreign
objects and remove these if present.
• Take into account the material specifications (è Chapter 11 Technical data).
• Only use the product in its original status, without any unauthorised modifications.
• Take into consideration the ambient conditions at the location of use.
Corrosive environments (e.g. ozone) will reduce the service life of the product.
• Compare the limit values specified in these operating instructions with your actual application. This
applies, for example, to forces, torques, temperatures, loads and speeds.
Operation of the product in compliance with the relevant safety regulations is contingent on adher­
ence to the load limits.
• Take the tolerance of the tightening torques into account. Unless otherwise specified, the tolerance
is ± 20 %.
