Setting Up and Assembling the Device
PLEASE NOTE!
Never place the device on a soft surface. The ventilation slots on the bottom of the
device must not be covered. It could overheat and be damaged.
Make sure that the mains cable is not squashed, bent or laid over sharp edges and
does not come into contact with hot surfaces.
The mains cable may not hang down from the surface on which the device is placed
in order to prevent the device from being pulled down.
The device has rubber feet. Some items of furniture are coated with materials which
could attack the rubber feet. If necessary, place a mat under the device to be on the
safe side.
1. Set up the main unit with a clear space on all sides (at least 20 cm) and clear space
above it (at least 30 cm) on a dry, fl at, solid and moisture-resistant surface.
2. Screw the tap handle (2) into the fi tting of the tap (3).
3. Insert the drainage grille (9) into the drip tray (10).
4. Slide the drip tray from the front into the base of the main unit until you hear it engage
(Picture A). NOTICE: The drip tray must not protrude beyond the edge of the surface
on which the main unit is placed. Otherwise, the drip tray could fall down when a
glass is placed on it.
5. Open the lid (14) by pressing the release button (1).
6. Remove the tapping unit (17) from the cooling container (11): Detach the CO
and the beer line from the valve unit (20). To do this, press the white button on the
valve (19 or 24) in each case and pull off the adapter (21 or 18) (Picture B).
7. Pour roughly 800 ml of water into the cooling container. NOTICE: Do not exceed the
MAX marking in the cooling container!
If too much water has been poured in, fl ip open the water outlet (7) and allow the
excess water to run into the drip tray. NOTICE: The drip tray has a capacity of no
more than 450 ml!
Preparing the Beer Keg
PLEASE NOTE!
Vent the beer keg before the seal plug is removed (description on the beer keg). This
ensures that no froth can escape from the ventilation opening.
Rubber Plug (Picture C1)
A beer keg with a rubber plug is the easiest to tap into. The rubber plug does not require
any tool or universal adapter (28).
Combi Plug (Picture C2)
The combi plug has a black ring around a red plug cover. The combi plug does not
require any tool or universal adapter.
1. Vent the beer keg. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the beer keg to do this.
2. Remove the plug cover with a vigorous tug.
