9.3. Replace the paint needle seals
Material leaks from the gun body inspection hole
If the two paint needle seals are damaged, material can leak from the
gun body inspection hole [1-3], [2-7].
→ Replace the paint needle seal immediately.
Dismantle paint needle seal
■ Unscrew the material flow control [9-1].
■ Remove the spring [9-2].
■ Remove the paint needle [9-3].
■ Use the socket spanner [10-8] to unscrew the packing bolt [10-7] out
of the gun body [10-1].
■ Remove the paint needle seal [10-6], washer [10-5], pressure spring
[10-4], spacer [10-3] and second paint needle seal [10-2].
Mount paint needle seal
Note!
Check for damage and wear and replace with new ones where neces-
sary.
■ Insert the paint needle seal [10-2], spacer [10-3], pressure spring
[10-4],
■ washer [10-5] and second paint needle seal [10-6].
■ Use the socket spanner [10-8] to screw the packing bolt [10-7] into the
gun body [10-1].
■ Insert the paint needle [9-3].
■ Insert the spring [9-2].
■ Screw on the material flow control [9-1].
After installation, adjust material flow according to chapter 8.2.
9.4. Replace the spindle of the round/flat fan control
Only present in SATA LPS RB 2000 RP and SATAminijet 1000 A S
HVLP. Replacement is necessary if air escapes from the round/flat fan
control or if it is no longer possible to adjust the spray fan pattern.
Dismantle spindle
■ Unscrew the countersunk screw [11-5].
■ Pull off the control knob [11-4].
■ Screw the spindle [11-3]out of the gun body using the SATA universal
