9.1. Replacing the nozzle set
The nozzle set consists of a tested combination of the air cap [6-6], the
fluid tip [6-5] and the paint needle [6-3]. Always replace the entire nozzle
set.
Dismantle the nozzle set
■ Unscrew the material flow control [6-1] .
■ Remove the spring [6-2].
■ Remove the paint needle [6-3].
■ Unscrew the air cap [6-6] by hand.
■ Screw the fluid tip [6-5] out of the gun body [6-4] using the universal
spanner [3-5].
Mount the nozzle set
Damage from incorrect installation
The fluid tip and paint needle can be damaged if assembled in the
wrong order.
→ Fit the fluid tip before the paint needle.
→ Never screw the fluid tip against an energised
paint needle.
Screw the fluid tip [6-5] into the gun body [6-4] and tighten using the
universal spanner [3-5].
■ Screw the air cap [6-6] onto the gun body.
■ Insert the paint needle [6-3].
■ Insert the spring [6-2].
■ Screw on the material flow control [6-1]. Adjust the material flow if nec-
essary (see chapter 9.2).
9.2. Replacing the air distribution ring
Only present in SATA LPS RB 2000 RP and SATAminijet 1000 A S
HVLP.
