report this to the specialist dealer, the dealer will forward this
immediately. The reports are agreed with and processed by the
competent authorities.
Please always follow these instructions for use. In case of adverse
effects (e.g. skin swelling, pressure points, disorders of blood
circulation etc.) please tell your doctor. Function and optimum
protection are no longer guaranteed if the product is handled
incorrectly. This aid assists recovery and should be used exclusively
under the instruction of and in consultation with your doctor or a
healthcare professional. DARCO (Europe) GmbH does not assume
any responsibility. Do not wear the product with injured, irritated,
damaged or intact skin. You should use bandages or socks, for

(e.g. also stepping up onto curbs) and walking on uneven surfaces.
Walk more slowly than usual. This aid is intended for single-patient
use only.
The Relief Insert® Splinting System may only be used in
combination with the Relief Dual® Plus Off-loading Shoe for
walking. The splint is not designed for walking without a shoe.
There is a risk of thrombosis due to the restricted ankle movement.
There is a risk that the orthosis (splint) may break if the load is too
heavy. Max. permitted load: 150 kg. The air chambers must not be
over inflated to prevent pressure points on the leg and to prevent
the air chambers from bursting. The air liner with pump cannot be
washed.
Purpose
Relief Insert® Walker 2.0: Lower leg / foot orthosis for immobilisa-
tion in a given position, as well as a foot-positioning orthosis
Relief Insert® Walker 2.0 Achill: Lower leg / foot orthosis and
foot-positioning orthosis with Achilles tendon relief
Design features
The lower leg / foot orthosis is available in five sizes with a universal
fit for right and left.
The shoe can be customized to the left or right foot by individually
adjusting the hook and loop straps. The lower leg / foot orthosis
consists of the following components: One shoe (Relief Dual® Plus |
Off-loading shoe with high ankle support), a splint (Relief Insert®
2.0 | Splinting System) with a grey air liner and integrated pump
and a blue lining (consists of a forefoot strap, front and calf liner).
The Relief Insert® Walker 2.0 Achill also includes heel wedges
(DAW | DARCO Achilles Wedges).
The splinting system is used to position the lower leg / foot. In
addition, a walker can be assembled from the splinting system
using a therapeutic shoe to immobilise the lower leg / foot with
simultaneous mobilisation. The exchangeable insole enables
patients to individually adjust the fit.
