Maintenance
7.1
Cleaning
Apart from normal cleaning, the device does not require
any particular maintenance. For cleaning, use is only to
be made of water containing a small quantity of neutral
or slightly alkaline detergent. The water temperature
must not exceed 25 °C.
The components can be wiped with soft cloths or
sponges. Rinse components with clean water after
cleaning.

Never use cleaning agents which corrode paintwork,
coatings or sealing materials:
R
No solvents (esters, ketones, alcohols, halogenated
hydrocarbons)
R
No abrasive cleaning agents (scouring powder)
R
No acidic or highly alkaline cleaning agents

Replacing batteries in alignment
laser
Parts required:
Three 1.5 V size AA batteries

Switch off the laser before replacing the battery.
Procedure:
1. Unfasten the two bolts on the cover of the alignment
laser.
2. Replace the three batteries.

Always pay attention to correct polarity when fitting
the new batteries.
3. Close the alignment laser.
4. Screw on the cover.

Decommissioning

Dismantling and disposal
The device is primarily made of steel. Other materials:
R
Plastic,
R
Cardboard and paper (packaging, documents),
R
Scratch-resistant epoxy device coating.
The regulations of the local authorities are to be
observed
with regard to disposal of the device.
The HTD 8xx is subject to the European
directive 2002/96/EC (WEEE).
Dispose of used electrical and electronic
devices, including cables, accessories and
batteries, separately from household waste.
Make use of the local return and collection
systems for disposal.
Proper disposal of the HTD 8xx prevents
environmental pollution and possible
health hazards.
