Dimensions: see picture
n.b. for sharp folds in the cover, its grain must be in
the direction of the arrow.
Creasing of the cover may prove
necessary if the cover is cross-grained or if
chrome coat or stiff cover material is used.
Weight
It is not possible to press heavy covers on very thin books,
nor is it wise to use very thin covers on thick books.
For covers with plastic fronts and paper backs, make sure
the plastic is at least 4 mm away from the fold !
Position:
- In the depth:
select h + 0.5 mm on the scale (15) by
means of the handwheel.
The read out is only accurate to 0.5mm
Do not force the handle beyond the end
of its travel - this will void the warranty -
Do not turn it too fast.
- Sideways:
adjust left side guide (31) position in front
of rear (left) end of the binding by means
of knob (32).
Lock in position.
Bring the two right magnetic side guides
(34) against the pile of covers.
Squaring:
Compensation for covers not cut exactly square is
provided for, moving left side guide (31) askew, by
means of adjustment (33). Lock in position after
adjustment.
Make sure that the front stops (35) of the cover
station are parallel with the nippers.
Make sure that the covers are well held between
the guides, otherwise they will move about and not
be accurately positionned.
