Level in the tank :
- The level check takes place when drum
rotation is stopped (17).
- When the level gets low, the mark mini in
the bottom of the tank in glue
compartment (4) becomes visible.
- Fill the tank with glue granules up to the
bottom of the funnel.
When melted they should just cover the
mark maxi.
Distribution:
A spreader removes the excess of glue from the spine of the book, its height is adjustable by rotating
wheel (28) : - At zero, almost all the glue is removed from the spine.
- At 10, about 2 mm of glue is left on the spine.
Don't change the adjustment by more than two graduations without checking the result.
Temperature:
According to the specifications of the glue,
select the one or the other thermostat
controlling automatically the temperature in
the bottom of the tank.
Select (30) :
- position 115°C for glues working up to
165° C
- position 145°C for glues working over
165°C.
Selector islocated behind the lower front
guard.
- The temperature of application (of the glue
on the drum) will further be adjusted (29)
between 135°C and 200°C.
n.b. The warm up time for glue operated
at over 140°C will be considerably longer
than at 140°C (± 10 min. per 10°C).
