3.3 Pilot mode

• Pilot mode is activated with button 4 (compass symbol) and
can be toggled between the following settings in the "Fix
Mode" menu:
- Heading mode (the direction in which the Rhino BLX GPS
motor points when the Pilot Mode button is pressed) and
- Course mode (the "true" course as displayed on a nautical
chart or on a GPS plotter screen).
• You can toggle between Heading and Course modes in the "Fix
Mode" menu section and con rm with the red button (3).
• You can use the grey LEFT/RIGHT buttons (9,10) on your remo-
te control to adjust the course. The new direction of travel or
course is shown on the display.
• To exit Pilot Mode, simply press the Pilot Mode button again.
• The display on the remote control shows the Course mode
icon, including the course and bearing from the boat.

Note about the GPS SPEED displayed on the right side of the
screen (KPH):
• This screen on your remote control shows the "speed over
ground" and does not re ect the actual speed of the boat
through the water. The speed through the water is in uenced
by wind, tide, current, waves and other variables.

• Press button 12 to enter or exit this mode.
In this mode the motor runs over ground at a selected speed.
• The display shows the currently set speed in the top right of
the screen in kilometres per hour.
• To adjust the speed in Travel mode, press the grey UP/DOWN
control buttons (buttons 7 and 11). The respective speed level
is displayed in the top left of the screen.
• The speed over ground increases or decreases by 0.2 kph each
time the button is pressed (displayed as "Target" in the middle
right of the screen).

Note: Cruise control cannot be activated if propeller is deacti-
vated. However, the Cruise function can be operated simulta-
neously with the Navigation or Course mode.
