2.3 Calibration
• The remote control may now prompt you to calibrate the
steering.
Press the RIGHT or LEFT button (9,10) to register the steering.
Calibration takes about 10 seconds.

2.4 General con guration
• Press the red button again to activate the main menu. Use
the blue UP/DOWN buttons (1,2) to scroll through the setup
menu.
• To con gure the boat size, scroll down in the menu with the
blue arrow key (1,2) to "Boat Size".
• Con rm the boat size by pressing the red button (3). You can
select from:
Small boat ("little") = shorter than 3m
Medium-sized boat ("medium") = 3m-4m
Large boat ("large") = 4m +
• This helps your Rhino BLX GPS motor to deliver the right
amount of power to the propeller at all times.
• Return to the Settings menu with the left blue button (5).

• Scroll to "Unit" and select "metric" or "imperial". To con rm,
press the red button (3).
• The default setting is "metric". Press the left blue button (5) to
return to the main menu and continue.
• In the "Backlight" menu, adjust the brightness and auto-o
feature.
• Please note: The longer and brighter the display is illuminated,
the shorter the battery life of the remote control.

3. ADJUSTABLE MODES
3.1 Manual mode
• In this mode, the mode information area is empty.

• The status LED of the base station is lit up in GREEN.

The motor can now be operated manually with the remote
control.
• The buttons 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 control the propeller, speed and
steering. You can now use these buttons to operate the motor
in manual mode.
• The default setting for the remote control at startup is zero.
The propeller is stopped. Use the middle button 8 (propeller
symbol) to activate and deactivate the propeller.
• The grey UP/DOWN arrows (buttons 7,11) increase or
decrease the propeller power from zero to level 10. The device
acknowledges each press of a button with a short signal tone
from the base unit.
• The LEFT/RIGHT buttons (9,10) on the remote control can be
pressed for a maximum of 7 seconds. Press the button once
more to reactivate.
Likewise, a tone is emitted when the propeller is stopped/star-
ted by pressing button 8.
• Please press evenly to ensure smooth operation.
Note: When the propeller is switched on again via button 8, the
last speed setting is activated!
