3.2 Anchor mode
• Press button 13 (anchor symbol). The motor immediately
enters anchor mode, relative to the GPS position where the
button was pressed.

• The motor will now keep the boat in this position continu-
ously. Positioning is accurate to about 2m, depending on the
conditions (wind, current, GPS signal).
• The status LED lights up BLUE.
• The display now shows the distance to the anchor position,
including the GPS bearing back to the anchor point.

Exit Save
• The menu screen displays the following: Exit = Exit anchor
mode; Save = Save current anchor point.
• Press the "Anchor mode" button again to close the menu.
• Up to 16 anchor points can be saved with button 3 ("Save").
Important note: Do not rely on anchor mode as the only means
of anchoring your boat. Anchor mode is only intended for
holding a position temporarily in good weather and light con-
ditions. Do not use anchor mode in channels with heavy boat
tra c or on shipping routes. A boat in anchor mode shall carry
appropriate lights and signs in accordance with international
collision avoidance regulations.
• To exit anchor mode and return to manual mode, press anchor
button 13 again. This is acknowledged by an audible alert. The

status LED lights up GREEN again. By default, the power level
last used in anchor mode is used.
• You can reposition the boat in manual mode. Then press the
anchor button again to x your new position.
• Your Rhino BLX GPS motor can return to any of the saved spots
(anchor points) at any time if you are less than 1 km away.
• When returning to a saved anchor point, slow down the boat
just before you reach your destination to avoid overrunning it
while your Rhino BLX GPS motor returns to the exact position
that was selected.
Note: To prevent the control cable from becoming too entangled
around the shaft during frequent steering corrections, the
motor stops automatically and emits a warning tone. Then
please turn the cable back manually with the steering function
and restart the motor in the respective mode. Ideally, you
should approach the desired anchor point against the wind and
against the drift.
