Next place the largest remaining log, position it
fully to one side of the fi rebox, the same side
that the rear log is against, and sitting on top of
the rear log; the opposite end will be in the front
corner of the fi rebox on the same side. Place one
of the two logs that is not a "Y" shape on the
opposite side of the fi rebox. This log should be
placed fully up to the back fi rebrick, and sitting
on top of the rear log (Fig. 18).
Next place the "Y" shaped log and one of the
other logs in the centre of the fi rebox, with one
end laying on top of the rear log, the other ends
should be either side of the Pilot Shield (Fig. 19).
Position the fi nal log at the very front of the
fi rebox, in front of the pilot shield (Fig. 20).

2.13 Pebble Arrangement: Natural gas

1 bag containing 26 pebbles.
Procedure: First place the Mat on top of the Burner and place the grate plate on top of the
Mat and Burner.
Place 8 pebbles in a ring around the outside of the fi rebox. Place 3 pebbles, longitudinally
along the centre of the burner (Fig. 21).
Position 8 more pebbles in a second ring around the outside of the fi rebox, sitting on top of
the fi rst ring (Fig. 22).
Place another pebble at the rear, sitting between the middle pebble of the centre row and
2 pebbles at the rear. Place another pebble on top of the centre row, next to the. Position a
pebbles sitting on the top, in the centre of the arrangement, with another pebble at the very
front resting inside the fi rebricks at the front on the right hand side (Fig. 23).
Place the fi nal 3 pebbles as shown in the last picture at the rear of the arrangement (Fig. 24).
Ensure that the pilot fl ame is still visible. The arrangement is now complete.
