Mounting of headrest and power supply

Mounting Flash Unit FU 01 and cable
• Fasten the flash cable including the tube (114) to the left (as
viewed from the patient side) of the headrest (115).
• Tighten up the flash cable and shutter release bar cable at
the end of the thick synthetic tube (rubber tube) (109).
• Affix eventually the synthetic tube (109) on the back cover of
the Flash Unit FU 01 (3 screws).
• Lock brakes (105) of table castors. Loosen the back of the
photo control unit (110). The photo control unit is mounted
onto the foot of the table (106) with the two M8 screws. It is
advisable that the heavy photo control unit is installed by two
persons.
• Connect cable of shutter release bar (112) and flash cable
(111). Make sure that plugs snap in.
• Insert power cable of Flash Unit (113) through round recess.
• Fix cover again with screws (110).
• Connect power cable of Flash Unit (113) onto the foot of the
table (107). Connect power cable of the table (108).
• The two special screws for mounting the shutter release bar
(120) onto the cross slide have to be installed first, unless they
come with the screws in place from the factory. Then slide the
shutter release bar over the two special screws, tighten the set
screw next to the cable, mount the rail cover.
• Remove the guide plate (118) and insert the mirror holder
into the socket. Make sure that the holder snaps into position.
• For background illumination during the examination, a fiber
optic cable fed by an external cold light source (104) is used.
The fiber optic cable must have enough slack to allow unres-
tricted operation of the slit lamp.
• Connect the shorter end of the glass fiber cable to the lamp
housing (116) to the left of the flash tube. Twist around the
cable 1x or 2x thus it positions straight to the instrument.
• The light cable can be drawn through one of the recesses
underneath the table (103) trough.
• After the installation of mirror- and diaphragm part, objective
tube and camera install connection cable from shutter release
bar to mirror-and diaphragm part (119) and connection cable
from mirror housing with diaphragm control to camera (117).
