confident that this product will give you reliable and trouble-

Purpose of use

®
The Slit Lamp BX 900
is used, at room temperature, in the
examination, diagnosis and documentation of the human eye.
It is usually used by Ophthalmologists, Optometrists or Opti-
cians in their consulting rooms, clinics, hospitals or teaching
facilities.
Difference BQ - BX
®
The operation of the Photo-slit lamp BX 900
and the standard
BQ 900
®
slit lamp is almost identical.
®
The principal part of the Photo-slit lamp BX 900
is composed
of the mirror housing and the built-in diaphragms, as well as a
flash device with control unit. It mounts easily like the beam-
splitter, between the binocular tube and the magnification
changer.
When taking a picture the full light is diverted from the reflex
mirror to the camera.
In spite of the simplicity of the system, this configuration allows
the maximum utilisation of the available light:
3
100% for the picture and 100% for the examination
A built-in diaphragm with 5 pre-selectable apertures is set
automatically in position at time of exposure.
The fact that the camera body is not mounted on top of the
microscope, allows full visibility of the patient's eyes from either
side of the microscope.
With the exception of the specific photo-components, all of the
®
controls are in the same position as on our standard BQ 900
slit lamp.
Use of the photo attachment on microscopes with stereo-
variator is possible, but not recommended.
