Charging procedure
of the power tool battery
Initial operating of the power tool
The power tool is supplied with a partially charged
battery 14. Before the first use, the battery 14 must
be fully charged.
Charging process (see fig. 9)
• Press the battery lock 12 and remove the battery 14
(see fig. 9.1).
• Connect the charger 15 to the power supply
• Insert battery 14 into charger 15 (see fig. 9.2).
• Disconnect the charger 15 from power supply after
charging
• Remove the battery 14 from the charger 15 and
mount battery 14 in the power tool (see fig. 9.3).
Charger indicators (see fig. 10)
Charger indicators 20 and 21 inform of the battery 14
charging process Signals of the indicators 20 and 21
are shown on the label 22 (see fig. 10).
• The green indicator 20 is on, the battery 14 is not in-
serted in the charger 15 - the charger 15 is connected
to the power network (ready for charging)
• Fig 101 - (the red indicator 21 is on, the battery 14
is inserted in the charger 15) - the battery 14 is being
charged
• Fig 102 - (the green indicator 20 is on, the
battery 14 is inserted in the charger 15) - the battery 14
is fully charged
In the process of charging the battery 14
and the charger 15 become hot, it is a
normal process.
Switching the power
Make sure that the reverse switch 10 is not cen-
tred, this blocks on / off switch 11.
Switching on:
Press on / off switch 11.
Switching off:
Release the on / off switch 11
Brushless motor
Power tool equipped with a brushless motor that pro-
vides the following advantages (compared to the pow-
er tool having a brush motor):
• high reliability due to the lack of wearing parts (car-
bon brushes, commutator);
• increased operating time on a single charge;
• compact design and light weight
Safety clutch
The safety clutch protects the power tool against over-
load and damage in case of accessory sticking during
drilling
Indicator (state of battery charge / protection) (see
fig. 11-12)
The indicators 13 show the state of charge of the bat-
tery 14 or indicate that one of the protection systems
has been activated (see fig. 11-12)
With the push of the on / off switch 11 the indicators 13
show the state of charge of the battery 14 (see fig. 11).
If power tool automatically switched off, indicators 13
show which of the protection systems has been activated:
• three indicators 13 fast blinking 1 time (see
fig. 12.1) - the power tool operated in a manner that
causes it to draw an abnormally high current;
• three indicators 13 fast blinking 2 times (see
fig. 12.1) - temperature protection of battery has
been activated;
• three indicators 13 fast blinking 3 times (see
fig. 12.1) - overheating protection system has been
activated;
• three indicators 13 fast blinking 4 times (see
fig. 12.1) - accessory was sticking during drilling;
• three indicators 13 fast blinking 5 times (see
fig. 12.1) - overload protection system has been
activated;
• three indicators 13 fast blinking 6 times (see
fig. 12.1) - battery 14 extremely lose voltage;
• three indicators 13 fast blinking 7 times (see
fig. 12.1) - speed controlling lost protection;
• three indicators 13 fast blinking 8 times (see
fig. 12.1) - input voltage too high;
• one indicator 13 fast blinking (see fig. 12.2) - low
voltage (need to charge battery 14)
Temperature protection
The temperature protection system enables to auto-
matically deactivate the power tool in case of excess
