4.3. HAZARDS IN THE AREA
As it is a very humid environment, we must take into account the risks to the
devices (pumps) coupled to the dispenser. On the basis of the ITC-BT-18 low
voltage decree.
In accordance with Royal Decree 486/1997 on workplaces, the area where
the equipment is to be used requires good lighting to prevent any risk of falling
due to a lack of lighting.
5. CORRECTIVE MEASURES RESULTING FROM THE HAZARDS
Based on the hazards mentioned in the previous section, the equipment has
various safety measures.
To prevent potential entrapment and crushing, the transport and assembly of
the device must be performed in a vacuum.
To prevent potential falls at the same level, the room where the installation
takes place must have a floor with a level of adherence in accordance with CTE
or complementary standards.
The risk of impact due to the projection of parts caused by an explosion is
minimised by means of the use of the degassing valve.
To prevent potential electrical hazards resulting from working in a humid
environment, the pump and electrical equipment must have a circuit breaker
and the corresponding earth connection.
The chemical hazards which exist in the handling of the different substances will
be minimised by means of the use of the different personal protective
equipment.
To prevent any risks of inhalation, the assembly, loading and maintenance of
the device will be performed in a ventilated place.
