TV Display Setting
Path: MAIN PAGE w GENERAL SETUP w TV
DISPLAY
Select the aspect ratio of the TV set to be
connected.
NORMAL/PS (4:3 Pan & Scan mode)
When you connect a normal TV to the
system, this setting displays a wide picture
on the whole TV screen with a portion (right
and left sides of the picture) automatically
cut off.
NORMAL/LB (4:3 Letterbox mode)
When you connect a normal TV to the
system, this setting displays a wide picture
with bands displayed on the upper and
lower portions of the screen.
WIDE (16:9 Wide-screen mode)
Use this setting when you connect a wide-
screen TV to the system.
< Some wide-screen discs that do not permit
Pan & Scan mode playback
automatically played in Letterbox mode.
< Depending on the DVD, 4:3 Letterbox may be
selected automatically instead of 4:3 Pan &
Scan and vice versa.
< You must also set the screen mode on your
wide-screen TV to "FULL".
< If WIDE is selected and a normal TV is
connected, 16:9 content will appear
distorted during playback (objects look
thin).
Picture Mode

MODE
AUTO
HI-RES or N-FLICKER will be selected
automatically.
HI-RES
suitable for film sources
N-FLICKER
suitable for TV camera sources
Usually select "AUTO". If the picture is
flickering or distorted, try "HI-RES" or "N-
FLICKER".
Angle Mark Setting

ANGLE MARK
Select whether the angle mark
on the TV screen or not when a multi-angles
scene is being played.
ON: appears on the TV screen.
OFF: does not appear.
You can change the angles using the ANGLE
button. For the details, see page 15.

Réglage de l'écran du téléviseur

REGLAGE w ECRAN TV
Choisir le rapport de cotés du téléviseur à être
brancher.
NORMAL/PS (4:3 mode panorama & balayage)
Quand vous branchez un téléviseur
ordinaire au système, ce réglage affiche
une image ample sur tout l'écran avec une
portion (cotés droits et gauches de l'image)
automatiquement tronqués.
NORMAL/LB (4:3 mode boite de lettre)
Quand vous branchez un téléviseur
ordinaire au système, ce réglage affiche
une image ample avec des bandes sur la
portion supérieure et inférieure de l'image.
LARGE (16:9 mode écran ample)
Utiliser ce réglage quand vous branchez un
téléviseur écran ample au système.
< Certain disques pour écran ample ne
are
permettent pas la lecture panorama et
balayage donc ils vont joués en mode boite
de lettre.
< Dépendemment du DVD, 4:3 boite de lettre
peut être choisi automatiquement au lieu de
4:3 panorama et balayage et vice versa.
< Vous devez aussi régler le mode de l'écran
de votre téléviseur écran ample à "FULL".
< Si WIDE est choisi et un téléviseur ordinaire
est branché, le contenu 16:9 va être
distortionner durant la lecture (les objects
apparaissent mince).

REGLAGE w PIC MODE
AUTO
"HI-RES" ou "N-FLICKER" est choisi
automatiquement.
HI-RES
Pour les sources de films.
N-FLICKER
Pour les sources de caméra de téléviseur.
Normalement choisissez "AUTO". Si l'image
clignote ou est distortionnée, essayez "HI-RES
ou "N-FLICKER".
Réglage du marqueur d'angle

REGLAGE w ANGLE MARK
appears Permet au marqueur d'angle
ou ne pas apparaitre sur l'écran du téléviseur
durant la lecture de scènes à angles multiples.
ON: apparait sur l'écran du téléviseur
OFF: n'apparait pas.
Vous pouvez changés les angles utilisant la
touche ANGLE. Pour des détails voir page 15.
