In the Galileo™ app, run the Initial Setup function and perform the Initial Heel
Height step.
The neutral position of the prosthetic foot is set to the heel height in the alignment
apparatus.

Exterior foot rotation:
approx. 5°

a–p positioning, middle of the prosthetic foot to the alignment reference line:
Positioning according to the table below.

Connect the prosthetic socket and prosthetic foot using the chosen adapters.
Be sure to follow the adapter instructions for use during adjustment and installation.

Determine the centre of the prosthetic socket with the 50:50 gauge.
Align the prosthetic socket centrally to the alignment reference line.
Socket flexion:
Residual limb flexion of the patient + 5°
Frontal plane
Alignment reference line of prosthetic foot: between big toe and second toe

Alignment reference line of prosthetic socket: along the lateral patella edge

Observe the abduction or adduction position.

► Observe the information in the prosthetic knee joint instructions for use.
► In the Galileo™ app, run the Initial Setup function and perform the Initial Heel Height step.
The neutral position of the prosthetic foot is set to the heel height in the alignment apparatus.
5.2.2 Static Alignment
In the Galileo™ app, continue with the Initial Setup and perform the Manual Alignment
step. Follow the instructions.
Use the L.A.S.A.R. Posture for static alignment optimisation of the prosthesis, if available.
If necessary, the alignment recommendations (TF modular leg prostheses: 646F219*, TT
modular leg prostheses: 646F336*) may be requested from Ottobock.
5.2.3 Dynamic Trial Fitting
Adapt the prosthesis in the sagittal plane (AP) and in the frontal plane (ML) by making angle
or slide adjustments so that correct heel contact, smooth roll-over and optimal weight transfer
onto the contralateral side are ensured.
Adapt the setup of the prosthesis in the frontal plane and the sagittal plane (e.g. by making
angle or slide adjustments) so that correct heel contact and optimal roll-over are ensured.
TT fittings:Make sure that physiological knee movement is achieved after the heel makes
impact and the leg begins to bear weight.
