Tighten the sawing band with adjustment knob
(9)
Align the sawing band with adjustment knob
(10)
Align the band guides. Tighten the lock nut (25).
Align the blade guides (4) (8.6).
Close both housing doors.
9.
Then:
10.
Conduct a test run of at least 1 minute.
Stop the saw, pull out the mains plug and check
the settings.
8.5.1 Tighten the sawing band (Fig. 12)
Danger:
Too high tension can break the band. Too low tension
can cause the driven band wheel to slip and the saw-
ing band will stop.
Set the upper sawing band guide (4) fully upwards.
1
2
Check the tension by pressing a finger halfway
between table and the upper band guide against
the side of the band. The band should not edge
down more than 3 to 5 mm.
If necessary, correct the tension:
3
Turning the adjustment knob (9) counter-clock-
wise increases the sawing band tension.
Turning the adjustment knob (9) clockwise re-
duces the band tension.
Important note Excessively high tension leads to pre-
mature breakage!
On completion of work, always relieve tension on the
saw blade! To do this, move lever A to '–'.
8.5.2 Alignment of the sawing band(Fig.13)
If the sawing band is no centred in the middle of the
rubber wheels the track must be corrected by adjust-
ing the incline of the upper band wheel:
1.
Release the lock nut (25).
Turn the adjustment knob (10):
2.
Turn the adjustment knob (10) clockwise if the
sawing band hits the front side of the saw.
Turn the adjustment knob (10) counter-clock-
wise if the sawing band hits the back side of
the saw.
Tighten the lock nut (25).
3.
8.6 Setting the saw blade guide, Fig. 12
You can adjust the top saw blade guide with the help
of the adjustment knob on the saw blade guard (13)
from 0-205 mm in terms of workpiece height.
The smallest possible distance to the work piece en-
sures the optimum band guide and a safe working!
8.6.1 Counterpressure bearing, Fig. 15
The counterpressure bearings (26) absorb the feed
pressure of the work piece.
Adjust the upper and lower counterpressure bearings
in such a manner that they slightly strike against the
saw band back.
8.6.2 Guiding rollers, Fig. 15
Adjust the upper and lower guiding rollers (27) to the
corresponding saw band width. The front edges of
the guiding rollers may at maximum extend until the
tooth root surface of the saw band. If the guiding roll-
ers slightly touch the saw band, fix the position of the
rollers with the knurled screw. The saw band must not
choke up!

8.7 Replacement of the table inlay (Fig. 9)
The table inlay (14) must be replaced if the slit en-
larges or is damaged.
Remove the table inlay from the sawing table by
1.
pressing downwards.
Insert a new table inlay.
2.
Make sure that the top surface of the table insert is
at the same height as the saw bench.
8.8 On/Off switch (Fig. 1)
To turn the machine on, press the green button
„1" (8).
To turn the machine off again, press the red but-
ton „0"(8).
The band saw is equipped with an undervoltage
switch. With a power failure, the band saw must
be switched back on again.
8.9 Speed adjustment (Figs.1+14+14.1+14.2)
Attention: Pull the mains plug!
Open the housing door (1)
Open the quick-release lever for belt tension (16)
Fig. 14.1 at the back of the machine and slide the
motor (11) to the left. Now gently close the quick-
release lever again. Tension on the drive belt is
now relieved.
Move belt into the desired position
(Fig. 14.2)
Open the quick-release lever again for belt tension
(16) and press the motor gently to the right to ten-
sion the belt. Close the quick-release lever again.
Close the housing door (1).
Rpm range:
Rpm stage 1 700 m/min.
For processing hardwood, materials similar to hard-
wood and for fine cuts.
Rpm stage 2 1000 m/min.
For processing softwoods and for less fine cuts.
Attention!
When working with the machine, all protective devic-
es and guards must be fitted.
The upper and lower bandwheel is protected by a
fixed guard and an articulated cover. When opening
the cover, the machine is switched off. Starting is
possible only with closed cover.

9. Transport

The machine must only be lifted and transported on
its frame or the frame plate. Never lift the machine at
the safety devices, the adjusting levers, or the saw-
ing table.
During the transport the saw blade protection must
be in the lowest position and near the table.
Never raise at the table!
Unplug the machine from the mains during transport.
To use the transport device, insert the transport han-
dle (19) in the transport handle opening. (After insert-
ing the transport handle (19), turn it a bit so that it
cannot slide out)
Now lift the machine on the transport handle (19)
far enough that the machine stands on the two rear
wheels (18) and can be moved. Pay attention to the
machine's high centre of gravity (top-heavy).
