position.
5. Push the machine head (17) downwards using
the handle (Fig. 1 / Item 16) while pulling out the
locking pin (Fig. 16 / Item 25) for the height
adjustment and turning it clockwise through an
angle of 90°.
Important. The integral resetting springs will
automatically lift the machine head. Do not
immediately let go of the handle (Fig. 1 / Item
16) after cutting, but allow the machine head
(17) to rise slowly, applying slight
counterpressure as it does so.
6. If necessary release the retaining nut (Fig. 17 /
Item 26) for the splitter (Fig. 17 / Item 12), swing
the splitter upwards and tighten the retaining nut
again (Fig. 18).
7. Fit the chip box. First attach it to the two lugs (Fig.
19) and swing it upwards and then push the Allen
screw upwards and turn it through 90° (Fig. 20).
8. Connect a suitable dust extraction system to the
extractor port (Fig. 21 / Item 27) or fit the dust bag
(1) supplied with the machine.
9. The stop rails (Fig. 22 / Item 18) must be no
further than 5 m from the cutting area and must
be adjusted if necessary. To do this, undo the
Allen screws, move the stop rails and then tighten
the Allen screws again (Fig. 22). The saw blade
(4) must not touch the stop rail at any point.
The stop rails are wearing parts which must be
replaced immediately if they are damaged since
otherwise they may pose a risk of injury to the
user.
7.2.2 Safety equipment for the crosscut and
miter saw
Saw blade guard (Fig. 1 / Pos. 15)
The two-piece saw blade guard is designed to
prevent contact with the saw blade and to stop chips
being catapulted out of the machine. Both parts of the
saw blade guard must always return to their original
position automatically. When the machine head (17)
is in its upper position, the saw blade must have all-
round protection.
Lowering lock (Fig. 23)
The lowering lock prevents the machine head being
lowered accidentally. To release the lowering lock,
press the button (Fig. 23 / Item 29), pull the handle
(Fig. 23 / Item 16) forwards and lower the machine

head slowly and evenly.
Important. The integral resetting springs will
automatically lift the machine head. Do not
immediately let go of the handle (Fig. 23 / Item
16) after cutting, but allow the machine head (17)
to rise slowly, applying slight counterpressure
as it does so.
7.2.3 Operation as a crosscut and miter saw
A. Crosscut 0° and turntable 0° (Fig. 24)
Switch on the saw (see point 7.1)
Important. Place the material for sawing
firmly on the machine surface and press it
against the stop rail.
When you have switched on the saw, wait until
the saw blade (4) has reached maximum speed.
Release the lowering lock (see point 7.2.2) and
move the machine head (17) evenly through the
workpiece exerting slight pressure.
After the cutting process is finished, bring the
machine head back to its upper (home) position
and switch off the saw.
Important. The integral resetting springs will
automatically lift the machine head. Do not
let go of the handle (Fig. 23 / Item 16) after
cutting, but allow the machine head (17) to
rise slowly, applying slight counterpressure
as it does so.
B. Crosscut 0° and turntable 0°- 45° (Fig. 25 - 27)
In crosscut and miter saw mode, it is possible to
complete angle cuts to the left and right at angles of
0° - 45°.
Release the turntable (19) by undoing the locking
lever (Fig. 25 / Item 30).
Move the turntable to the required angle using the
handle (16), in other words the pointer (Fig. 26 /
Item 31) must point to the required angle on the
scale (Fig. 26 / Item 32). The saw has automatic
locking points at angles of -45°, 0° and +45°.
Tighten the locking lever again to secure the
turntable.
Make the cut as described in point A (Fig. 27).
C. Miter cut 0°- 45° and turntable 0° (Fig. 28 – 29)
In crosscut and miter saw mode, it is possible to
complete miter cuts to the left and right at angles of 0°
- 45°.
Move the machine head (17) to its upper position.
Move the turntable (19) to the 0° position.
Release the angle adjustment lever (Fig. 28 / Item
