2 Assembly – installation – connection
Assembly, mounting and electrical connection may only
be carried out by an approved onsite expert. This person
must observe all applicable standards and regulations
accordingly, and take responsibility for
correct assembly and installation. Installation must be
carried out according to the enclosed wiring diagrams.

Any search for the causes of faults, or any correction of
faults, must only be carried out by the approved local
expert (electrician). In every case, the power must be
switched off before opening the heating insert cover.
• If the water does not reach a temperature of approx.
60°C, even when the rotary switch is set to maximum,
please check whether both controller sensors are in the
right sequence and pushed into the sensor protection
tube as far as their end stop.
• If the upstream circuit breaker before the heating insert
or the ground fault circuit interrupter are repeatedly
activated, but the connection lead is working correctly
(no bare wires, etc.), the heating elements must be
checked.
• If the circuit breaker(s) and ground fault circuit
interrupter are not activated, and yet no hot water is
available, the following checks should be carried out:

1 Utilisation
- Chauffage de l'eau sanitaire jusqu'à une surpression de
6 bars.
- Le montage peut être effectué horizontalement ou
verticalement (de bas en haut uniquement).
- Températures de l'eau entre horsgel de 2 à 10 °C
(configuration minimale) et de 70 à 80 °C (configuration
maximale).
- Les prescriptions légales régionales en matière de
prévention des légionelles (températures minimales)
doivent être respectées par l'utilisateur.
- Afin de limiter l'entartrage, la température recommandée
est la température minimale autorisée et nécessaire.
2 Assemblage – Montage – Raccordement
L'assemblage, le montage et le raccordement électrique
ne doivent être effectués que par un électricien agréé. Il a
l'obligation de respecter toutes les normes et
réglementations en vigueur et est responsable du
montage et de l'installation conforme. Le montage doit
suivre le schéma de connexion joint en annexe.
2.1
L'insert de chauffe doit être monté dans le respect des
spécifications du fabricant du ballon, dans les ouvertures
prévues à cet effet. Veuillez utiliser un joint à collerette
adapté pour l'étanchéité.

2.1
The heating insert must be installed in the container
opening according to the water container manufacturer's
instructions. Please use a suitable flange gasket for
sealing purposes.
2.2
The connection cable must be inserted through the cable
insertion point and connected professionally in
accordance with local regulations. Please take particular
care to ensure that your connection cable is definitely not
live. The earthing is connected to a separate connection.
Before starting up the device for the first time, check that
the water container is filled. The liquid level must be at
least 50 mm above the highest point of the heater.
The integrated heater is designed for installation in
enamelled tanks.
1. Check whether the power supply to the heating
insert is working correctly.
2. With the aid of the circuit diagram (enclosed), check
whether the controller has a 'connection path' when
the rotary controller is set to maximum (beeper).
• If water penetrates the casing via the heating inserts,
the entire heating insert must be replaced. If this fault
occurs during the
guarantee period (24 months from installation), the fitter
must be consulted. The entire hot water installation
must be checked regarding any electrochemical series
(materials mix, sacrificial anode, etc.)
• If the controller (thermostat) has no 'connection path',
press the temperature limiter's 'Reset' button (the
button next to the rotary switch of the controller). If the
controller still has no 'connection path', then it is
defective and must be replaced.

débranchement. Elle coupe le contact lors d'une
température durable entre 102 et 110 °C. À partir d'une
puissance assignée de plus de 10 kW, deux contacteurs
doivent être montés par le client, conformément au

présent sur les éléments de chauffage conduisent à une
détérioration précoce de l'insert de chauffe. Les mesures

2.2
Introduire le câble de raccordement à travers le presse-
étoupe et effectuer le raccordement professionnellement
et conformément aux réglementations locales
Assurez-vous notamment que votre câble de
raccordement soit hors tension. Le conducteur de
protection doit être raccordé sur le raccord séparé.
2.3
Avant la fermeture du cache en plastique, veuillez vérifier
si les deux sondes du régulateur sont enfoncées jusqu'à la

uninsulated live components are touching one another or
could come into contact with any uninsulated metal parts.

Also check that the rotary switch of the controller is set to
the desired water temperature. (Illustration page 19)
Heating when the container is dry can result in instant
destruction of the heating insert. (Illustration page 19)
If used in combination with V4A tanks or V4A heat
exchangers, or fittings in plasticcoated tanks, the
protective current bleeder resistor (protected in the
insulation sleeve) must be disconnected, in order to ensure
that the heating insert is insulated when installed.
• If the temperature limiter has been activated – and the
'Reset' button had to be pressed – the cause must be
determined as follows:
1. With the aid of the circuit diagram (enclosed), check
whether the controller is switched on. To do this,
heat the longer, slightly thinner controller sensor to
30–50°C and check its functioning by turning the
controller's rotary switch towards – or + (normally
closed contact). If the device is not functioning, then
the controller is defective and must be replaced.
2. If it is confirmed that the device is functioning, check
the heating elements for excessive limescale
deposits. If necessary, descale the heating elements.
After each fault correction, the heating insert must be
installed again according to the instructions and
started up.
