Measuring the humidity level
1.
Press the on/off button to turn the product on.
2.
Hold the measurement instrument so that the sensor at the back is completely exposed.
3.
If the display does not show the reading 0.0, press and hold the ZERO button for approx.
two seconds until the ZERO indicator appears at the top of the display. The product is now
calibrated and ready for use.
4.
Now start the measurement and follow the instructions outlined in the sections above.
5.
The display will show the reading. In the lower part of the display, the reading is also shown
via a notification made up of four segments.

If one of the preset limit values is exceeded, an alarm signal sounds. More information on
how to set the limit values can be found in the following section.
c)
Setting the signal function
1.
Press the MODE button. The high alarm value (HIGH) is displayed.
2.
Press the UP APO button to increase the value, or the DOWN button to decrease the value.
To fast forward through the values, press and hold the corresponding button.
3.
Confirm your selection by pressing the MODE button. The low alarm value (LOW) is
displayed.
4.
Set the value as described under item 2 and confirm your selection by pressing the MODE
button.
5.
Using the buttons UP APO and DOWN, you can now set whether the alarm function is
activated (ON) or deactivated (OFF).
6.
Confirm your selection by pressing the MODE button.
7.
When the reading is between Low & High alarm value, a beep will repeatedly sound and the
LOW indicator will flash on the display.
8.
When the reading exceeds the high alarm value, one long, continuous beep will sound.
Additionally, the HIGH indicator will flash on the display.
d)
Auto off function
The product automatically powers off after 10 minutes of inactivity.
To activate/deactivate the auto off function, press the UP APO button.
When the APO indicator appears on the display, the auto off function is activated.
e)

Backlight

Press the DOWN button to activate/deactivate the backlight.

MAINTENANcE AND cLEANING

The measuring device is maintenance-free apart from the need to replace the battery and
occasional cleaning.
Use a clean, lint-free, antistatic and slightly damp cloth to clean the device. Do not use any
abrasive or chemical agents or detergents containing solvents.
DISPOSAL
a)
Product
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the household
waste!
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the relevant statutory
regulations.
b)
(Rechargeable) batteries
You as the end user are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used batteries/
rechargeable batteries. Disposing of them in the household waste is prohibited!
Batteries/rechargeable batteries that include hazardous substances are labelled with
these icons to indicate that disposal in domestic waste is forbidden. The descriptions
for the respective heavy metal are: Cd=cadmium, Hg=mercury, Pb=lead (the
designation is written on the rechargeable battery e.g. under the rubbish can symbols
depicted at the left).
You can return used batteries/rechargeable batteries free of charge at the official
collection points of your community, in our stores, or wherever batteries/ rechargeable
batteries are sold!
You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
