Simple Room Setup for surround
sound
Setting up basic surround sound is made a
simple two step process with the Room
Setup feature. Tell the unit the size of your
listening room and your listening position,
and the system automatically configures the
surround sound.
PureCinema progressive scan
(Except European model)
When connected to a progressive scan-
compatible TV or monitor using the compo-
nent video outputs, you can enjoy extremely
stable, flicker free images, with the same
frame refresh rate as the original movie.
Super Fine Focus digital filter
This improves the quality of the video output
by reducing video noise and increasing the
horizontal resolution to 540 lines.
Graphical on-screen displays
Setting up and using your DVD player is
made very easy using the graphical on-
screen displays.
MP3 compatibility
This player is compatible with CD-R, CD-RW
and CD-ROM discs that contain MP3 audio
tracks (see pages 11–12).
Super VCD compatible
This player supports the IEC's Super VCD
standard. Compared to the Video CD
standard, Super VCD offers superior picture
quality, and allows two stereo soundtracks to
be recorded. Super VCD also supports the
widescreen size.
Energy saving design
This unit is designed to use 0.5 W of power
when in standby mode.
